1. What is Royalty-Music.com all about?
At Royalty-Music.com, we provide free instrumental background music that you can download and use in your videos—no fees, no fuss. Our aim is to help creators of all sizes (especially if you’re just getting started) add professional-sounding tunes to their content without breaking the bank.
2. Can I really use your music for free?
Yes! You can download our tracks at no cost and use them in your projects, whether you’re on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or any other platform. We won’t ask you for licensing fees or hidden charges.
3. Why am I seeing a copyright claim on my YouTube video?
Here’s the deal: we use YouTube’s Content ID system. This helps us manage the rights to our music and allows us to place ads on videos that use our tracks. Because of this, YouTube may flag your video with a copyright notice that says something like “Copyright Claim” or “Content ID Claim.”
4. Does the copyright claim affect my channel?
Not at all! You won’t get any strikes or takedowns. Your account standing remains perfectly fine, and there’s no penalty for using our music. We simply reserve the right to monetize our tracks by running ads on them.
5. Will my videos be demonetized?
If you already monetize your channel (i.e., you’re in the YouTube Partner Program), you won’t be able to earn revenue from videos that use our music. The ad revenue will go to us instead.
6. Can I remove the ads so I can monetize my video?
If you need to monetize your video yourself, the best option is to either use music you own outright or have a special license for.
7. Why do you monetize with ads?
We put time, energy, and resources into creating these tracks. By allowing ads, we’re able to keep offering the music for free, while earning a little something to cover costs. Think of it as a friendly “thank you” for giving away our music at no charge.
8. Do I need to credit you in the video or description?
We won’t require a credit, but it’s always a nice gesture to include a small mention or link back to Royalty-Music.com. It helps other creators find free music, and it shows us some love!
9. Can I use your music on platforms other than YouTube?
Absolutely! Feel free to drop our tunes into your Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, podcast intros—whatever you like. Just be aware that platforms may have their own ways of handling copyrights and ads.
10. Do you plan on issuing strikes in the future?
Nope, we’re not out to punish you. Our goal is to keep it friendly for everyone. Strikes usually happen when rights holders are super serious about exclusive control. Our approach is more laid-back: we just want to be able to monetize the music we create. We’re not here to shut you down.
11. I’m still worried about the claim—can I just ignore it?
Yes, you can. The Content ID claim is more of an FYI. It just means the ad revenue from that video (if any) goes to us, not to you. Your channel won’t be penalized, and you can continue making awesome content as usual.
